The Ultimate Guide to November

I am so glad to share with you some of my favorite things- Click on this link to get your guide.

Gather, wander & welcome the season in the Ozarks

November in the Ozarks holds a little of everything we love: the last rich colors of fall, crisp mornings made for a country drive, and the first twinkling lights of Christmas. It’s a month for gathering around the table, exploring somewhere close to home, and making room for a few traditions along the way.

Here at Cottage & Cove, we believe loving where you live extends well beyond your front door. It’s knowing where to find a beautiful view, a wonderful slice of pie, or a small shop whose owner remembers your name. This month, let’s enjoy a little more of what makes our corner of the world special.

Take the scenic way

Before the last leaves fall, set aside an afternoon for a drive through the hills. Pack a warm drink, pull over at a scenic overlook, and leave enough time to follow a road simply because it looks inviting. A walk beside Table Rock Lake or an unhurried afternoon exploring the countryside can be just the reset a busy season needs.

Welcome a little Christmas magic

As autumn gives way to the holidays, make an evening of the lights, festive storefronts, and seasonal celebrations around Branson and Springfield. Watch local calendars for tree lightings, parades, Christmas markets, and performances. Choose a few favorites, bundle everyone up, and allow time for hot chocolate afterward.

Make a day of shopping small

Browse the shops of downtown Hollister, wander through an antique store, or visit a local maker’s market. Look for gifts with a story: pottery for the friend who loves to cook, an old ornament that reminds you of childhood, or something lovely for your own Thanksgiving table. A stop for lunch makes the outing feel like a small getaway.

Gather something delicious

November is a wonderful excuse to discover a local bakery, order a homemade pie, or linger over breakfast somewhere cozy. Let a favorite restaurant or caterer help with part of the holiday meal, too. A gracious table doesn’t require making everything yourself; sometimes the best decision is the one that gives you more time with your guests.

Begin a tradition worth keeping

Join a Thanksgiving morning turkey trot, take a family photograph on a favorite trail, or invite friends over for soup after an afternoon outdoors. Choose something simple enough to repeat next year. Often, those are the traditions everyone comes to love most.

Whether your November plans include a festive evening out or a quiet Sunday drive, we hope you find something here that makes you glad to call the Ozarks home—or happy you came to visit.
